Meet another one of Dr. Maria’s interns

Hello! My name is Emma Stevens. I live in a small town called Woodland in the heart of California’s Central Valley with my husband and our two dogs, George and Hank. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting local farmers’ markets, spending time outdoors, and practicing yoga.

While pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of California, Davis, I fell in love with nutrition science in an introductory course. After graduation, I returned to school, receiving a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from The University of Alabama, and am now a Dietetic Intern at Viterbo University. During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I gained valuable experience volunteering with organizations like WIC and the National Eating Disorders Association and working as a nutrition assistant at a local inpatient hospital.

I am passionate about how nutritious eating patterns and positive lifestyle habits can enhance overall health and well-being. I look forward to working with Dr. Maria and her private practice over the next few weeks! I will share nutrition-focused content such as social media and blog posts, newsletters, meal plans, and self-paced courses, so stay tuned!
