Meet another one of Dr. Maria’s dietetic interns!

Hi there! My name is Katelyn Hoerr (pronounced hair), and I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota but have lived in St. Paul for the last 5 years. I received my B.S. in Dietetics from St. Catherine University in May 2022 and am currently completing my M.S. in Community Medical Dietetics and dietetic internship through Viterbo University.

Over the course of my internship, I have had the opportunity to gain work experience in a wide variety of settings with rotations at sites including an eating disorder clinic, an acute care setting, a public health program focusing on women, infants, and children, and a retail grocery store offering dietetic services. Within the field of nutrition and dietetics, I am passionate about intuitive eating, women’s health, pediatrics, eating disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, and community outreach.

In my free time, I love to cook and bake, go thrifting, and garden. When I’m not in the kitchen (or classroom), you can find me outside as I feel most grounded in nature.
